Situated in a heart of Ambleside, The Gables has always proved to be a very popular bed and breakfast with visitors to the area. It offers comfortable accomodation, a relaxed friendly atmosphere in a prime location which is accompanied by fine views over the parkland and lakeland fells beyond.

The Gables offers 15 rooms all of which have been stylishly furnished and decorated to a high standard. All rooms are en-suite with bath and/or shower, television, radio, hairdryers, hospitality tray and alarm clock.
After a comfortable nights stay breakfast is served in the dining rooms with views over Amblesdie park. Start your day with a choice of either a traditional english or continental breakfast or vegetarian alternative. All use locally sourced produce.
‘All About Ambleside’ can highly recommend The Gables as a place to rest, relax and unwind and has long since been one of our favourite places to stay in Ambleside.
